Kinsale Vintage Rally Weekend 2017 (May 5th- 8th)
One the most exciting and spectacular weekends on the Kinsale events is The Blue Haven Kinsale Vintage Rally, taking place this weekend May 5th to 8th. With over 100 amazing Vintage cars on display in Kinsale over the weekend, it really is a fun filled family weekend worth seeing. Blue Haven Kinsale are proud sponsors and partners for over 10 years of the Kinsale Vintage Rally. The Vintage Cars were on display today Saturday 6th May outside The Blue Haven Hotel from 9.30am, with special guest from Lockdown model agency and many people who were out to see this great event which takes place once a year. It’s a fantastic day for the whole family and is enjoyed by all.
Now entering its 28th year, it is widely regarded as one of the premier events on the Irish classic car calendar.
Following the twinning of Kinsale with the Welsh town of Mumbles in 1990, KVCMC also decided to twin with the town’s own car club, The Swansea Historic Vehicle Register. Each year see’s large numbers of SHVR members make the trip to Kinsale for the May rally, a gesture that is returned each July when the club makes the return trip to Swansea.
Kinsale Vintage & Classic Motor Club originally established in 1988 by a group of classic car enthusiasts, the club has since grown to a current membership of over 100 members. All members share a common passion –their love of driving and preserving the classic cars. Indeed, one could ask for no better setting than the historic town of Kinsale and the surrounding beauty of the West Cork countryside.
